Filter Separtor
The Filter Separator or Microscrubber is designed to handle
situations where liquid removal to the one micron
level is required. A primary application is at
compressor stations to protect the compressors.
The Microscrubber contains two operating sections, a
filter section and a mist extractor section. The
filter section consists of an inlet baffle and a
number of tubular fiber glass filters connected in
parallel through a bulkhead support plate. The mist
extractor section contains a wire mesh mist
extractor. A lower split chamber serves as an
accumulator for collecting the free liquid draining
from the filters or mist extractor. Differential
pressure between the two stages prevents the use of
a common dump valve; each section must be drained
separately.
